When the entire world masked itself as COVID spearheaded to disembark the normalcy in life, the educators of CPS Global School Thirumazhisai left no stones unturned in coping with the colossal challenges in this new way of life. The panic-stricken atmosphere not just modified the learning-process but to a certain extent led to the evolution of a new format of studying by converting education into a virtual transaction without compensating on the schematic completion of syllabus and conducting examinations.
Be it the virtual lectures delivered, or the Formative assessments and the Mid Term 1 examinations conducted through exam.net web portal, CPS Global School Thirumazhisai teachers accomplished the tasks with panache and the recently concluded Virtual Parent-Teacher Meeting stands testimony to this claim.
Parent-Teacher Meetings that play a significant role in enhancing a child’s education used to be a daylong event of discussion during the pre-COVID times has transitioned as a fortnight long event in the virtual strata. The event was well planned by the able guidance of our beloved Head of School followed by meticulous organisation and thoughtful innovations by the Coordinators and Team Leads supported by teachers in making sure that the event goes through without hassles and technical glitches.
The planning of the event started weeks ahead with a singular purpose of informing about the student’s stance in academics to the parents followed by an action plan to render exclusive virtual assistance to the student in the days that follow in the form of remedial classes. As parents joined, the coordinators were delighted to welcome them to the first ever Virtual Parent-teacher meeting (VPTM), followed by a brief note by the class advisor about the ward’s overall performance in the exam.
The class advisors displayed a great show of coordination as one shared the slides with comments of the ward’s performance pertaining to every subject and the other liaised with the subject teachers and the parents acting as a compere for the event. Every parent joined this virtual meet with great enthusiasm and appreciated the school for this excellent virtual initiative.
As the synchronised meeting time slot for each ward ended, the parents were informed about the report card publication through the educloud app. In view of getting a pulse on how the parents felt about the VPTM and the online classes, a feedback form was sent to the parents along with a message thanking them for their time in making themselves available for the event. The speedier filling and reversion of the feedback forms from parents geared up the motivational spirit to soar beyond the sky!
Without doubt, VPTM of CPS Global School Thirumazhisai was surely a significant success!
