The journey of exploration began with a single step for the students of CPS Global School, Thirumazhisai, who embarked on a quest to unravel the mysteries of the endless universe. Their voyage, which commenced long ago, has now reached its culmination. This grand finale, dubbed Astrofest’24, served as a platform for students to reflect upon their extensive learning. With boundless enthusiasm, they showcased their newfound knowledge to parents, teachers, and fellow students.
One of the highlights of the event was the captivating session on hydro rocketry and solar observation. Witnessing the vibrant orange hues of the sun and its mesmerizing spots left everyone spellbound. To add to the excitement, a plethora of engaging activities such as a tattoo station, DSLR light painting, discovering one’s weight on different planets, and astronaut training were organized.
The efforts of the students were met with praise and appreciation from the Head of School, parents, and teachers alike. As a token of recognition for their dedication, the students were awarded certificates as amateur astronauts. They enthusiastically shared their adventurous experiences from the astronomy club with everyone present.
Although the current journey may have reached its conclusion, the students eagerly anticipate the continuation of their exploration in Module 2 next year, where they will delve even deeper into the realms of space. Until then, they will fondly cherish the memories created during this nostalgic experience.
