At CPS Global School Thirumazhisai, World Chess Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and excitement, involving students from CIE 1 to 8. The day was filled with various engaging activities that highlighted the students’ passion and knowledge about chess.

The event kicked off with a captivating ramp walk by the students of CIE 1 and 2, who dressed up as chessboard characters. Each student gave their best performance, astonishing the audience with their creative and stylish costumes. The judges faced a tough challenge in deciding the winners, as every participant showcased impressive effort and creativity. The students’ enthusiasm for chess, along with the parents’ involvement in crafting the costumes, was truly encouraging, inspiring the school to organize more such activities in the future.

For the students of CIE 3 to 5 and 6 to 8, a stimulating quiz competition on chess was conducted. Grouped together, the students demonstrated their profound knowledge and keen interest in the game. They eagerly researched and discussed various chess topics, reflecting their dedication and curiosity. The quiz answers were submitted through a drop box, and it was delightful to see students lining up during short breaks and lunch breaks to participate.

Overall, the Chess Day activities were a fantastic blend of fun and learning.
