Written by cpsglobalblog

It is often said that “The youth of today are the leaders of tomorrow”, a quote famously attributed to Nelson Mandela. CPS Global School, TMZ is proud to be a stakeholder of Young Indians, an integral part of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). Yi Thalir, the voice of Young Indians, provides a platform that focuses on the holistic development of school children, working with Indian schools to empower, nurture, and inspire young people to become responsible citizens.

On 20th January 2024, an orientation event was held by Yi, which was attended by the Thalir team of CPS GS TMZ. During the event, Vaishnavi.K of IBDP-1 and Kriya.I of IGCSE-1 were officially badged as chair and co-chair, respectively, along with Mrs. Swrnalatha R, who was badged as coordinator. This appointment signifies their leadership roles in the Thalir team of our school. The event was highly informative and interactive, impactful projects and activities under “Youth Leadership”, “Nation Building” and “Thought Leadership” were discussed. These initiatives are to be implemented in schools by organising and encouraging student participation in Yi events on different scales, such as inter-school, intra-school, intercity, state, and national levels. Yi Thalir has several verticals, and each vertical is attributed to projects and events under a social cause to instil social responsibility in children by introducing them to Yi Projects.

The badging session was the first step in the Thalir team’s pathcourse for 2024, they are enthusiastic and excited to begin making a real difference. As Franklin D. Roosevelt once said, “We cannot always build the future for our youth, but we can build our youth for the future”.
