The Steminist Club at CPS Global School, Thirumazhisai, is a student led transdisciplinary club that integrates Mathematics, Science and Technology. The year-long endeavours and learning that the students engaged in found fruition in the Club Culmination. Students from CAIE 1 & 2 collaborated on crafting LED cubes, offering comprehensive explanations on their characteristics. Progressing through the academic levels, CAIE 3 & 4 students embraced the challenge of designing intricate LED circuits. Meanwhile, CAIE 5 students demonstrated their expertise by assembling these circuits and cubes, delivering thorough insights via PowerPoint presentations.
Middle school students from CAIE 6-8 showcased their innovative models, such as Newton’s Cradle, Seismograph, and a Futuristic Mall, highlighting the interconnectedness of Math, Science, and Technology. One standout project was the Asteroid Tracking system developed by CAIE 7 students, who eloquently explained the potential impact of asteroids on Earth and demonstrated their model’s ability to track them. It was an incredible show of learning outcomes beyond academics through these impressive models, captivating the audience with their creativity and technical prowess.
