Thirumazhisai

Onam celebration @ CPSGS, TMZ

Written by cpsglobalblog

Onam is the celebration of a glorious past, a past spearheaded by King Mahabali who created a society filled with happiness and prosperity. Every year, irrespective of caste, creed or religion, the people across Kerala celebrate it to commemorate the prosperous reign of King Mahabali and also aspire to emulate the ethos of his righteous kingdom. India being a dynamically accepting society has never shied away from celebrating diverse festivals across the length and breadth of the country.

It is with this fervour that CPS Global School; Thirumazhisai was decked up today, dated 09/09/22. From the pookalam gracing the lobby and classrooms to the traditional attire of the students and faculty, everybody and everything was steeped in the festive mood of Onam. To add to the already infectious celebratory mood were the different competitions held for various grades. Children dabbled in creative art work, drawing competitions and then there was the kaikottikalli, clapping of hands performed by dancers during a recital of Thiruvathirakali for the super energetic pre-primary students of ELP. The Secondary and senior secondary students displayed their creativity by designing unique Athapookalam, a flower rangoli. Thus the day culminated on a happy note with students and teachers alike taking away lots of beautiful memories to cherish and hold onto.
