A serene wave of mindfulness swept across CPS Global School, Thirumazhisai, as the primary students came together to celebrate International Yoga Day with enthusiasm, energy, and purpose. The special morning assembly, thoughtfully conducted by the students of CIE 5, transformed the campus into a vibrant space of harmony, self-discovery, and well-being. The celebration began with an insightful presentation on the significance of yoga and its timeless relevance in nurturing a healthy body, a calm mind, and a balanced life. The young speakers eloquently shared how yoga empowers individuals to cultivate focus, resilience, and inner peace amidst the fast pace of modern life. The highlight of the morning was a captivating yoga demonstration led by the CIE 5 students.
Beginning with the graceful Surya Namaskar, the session flowed through Tadasana, Tree Pose, Forward Bend, Trikonasana, Butterfly Pose, Vajrasana, Child’s Pose, Cobra Pose, and Padmasana. Inspired by their peers, every primary student participated wholeheartedly, creating a beautiful spectacle of synchronized movement and mindful breathing.Adding a touch of awe to the celebration, talented students showcased advanced yoga postures, including Splits, Scorpion Pose, Pigeon Pose, Toe Touch, Cartwheel, and Bridge Pose, leaving the audience amazed by their flexibility, determination, and dedication. The event served as a powerful reminder that yoga is more than exercise—it is a journey towards self-awareness, balance, and lifelong wellness. The celebration concluded with the National Anthem, leaving every student inspired to embrace yoga as a daily practice and carry its values into a brighter, healthier future.
