Young Indians, the voice of youths globally in collaboration with CPS Global School
Thirumazhiasai as part of their project towards Nation Building, organized public speaking
workshop for the students of CAIE 6, 7 and 8. A renowned trainer and the keynote speaker,
Tobin Jose from Young Indians conducted a session on public speaking to the Lower
Secondary students of CPS Global School, Thirumazhisai. He shared his insights on
communication skills through interactive activities and provided the students many helpful
tips to become effective and great public speakers. The students were reiterated on the
capabilities and the vital components in public speaking such as the speaker, message,
audience, and occasion. He explained the steps to follow while speaking in public by
stressing on the importance of 3Ps – Prepare, Practise and Perform, which is the mantra that
help students talk confidently without stage fear. He concluded the session with an eye-
opening activity where he asked the students to pick any topic of their choice and speak on
spot. Students enthusiastically participated in this activity, a representative from each class
came forward and delivered their speech. The trainer was overwhelmed with the rapid
response from the students. Today’s session was very engaging and empowered students
to influence the outside world with their eloquent speech as the famous saying goes ‘only the
prepared speaker deserves to be confident.’
