Our students Rohan.SVS of A Levels, Dhiya Ranjit Nainar and Kaustubh Nair of AS Levels, and Varun Arya from IG YR 2 participated in The Bait 2022, organised by The Debate Club at Bhavans Rajaji Vidyashram, . Throught a series of 3 knockout rounds, they debated over political, economic, legal and moral matters. From Russia’s expansionist policies to the nuances of marriage contracts, the students argued their way to break into the top 4 teams out of the 32 schools that participated.
Their spotless record came to a halt when they bowed out in the semi finals with a thrilling clash of constructive arguments and fierce rebuttals amidst an audience of over 200 people.
“Don’t raise your voice, improve your argument” is the essence of a debate.
They sure did improve on argumentation, as well as raise voice against or for the issue debated.
