73rd Republic day – which falls in the 75 th year of India’s Independence, is a day to remember and
celebrate the constitution of free India which came into force with effect from 26 th January, 1950. At
CPSGS Thirumazhisai, it was celebrated with great zest and zeal. The celebration began with an
invocation seeking almighty's blessing followed by thought for the day and News by CAIE 7 students,
who also hosted the entire event.

There was a virtual flag unfurling after which the national anthem was
played to mark the special day of our nation. Naisha of CAIE7 elaborated on the significance of the day.
Shreya of IB 1 gave a mesmerizing performance by singing a patriotic song. To make the day really
special, tiny tots' of ELP gave a special performance.

Bhavna of CAIE 7 played a piano piece of "Thamizha
thamizha naalai nam naadey” which was fascinating. Next came a flip book by CAIE7 students,
showcasing how Lord Mountbatten formally announced that India has become Republic. IB 1 students,
Aditya Mukherjee and Ananya came up with interesting and informative facts about the Indian
Constitution. To make the day interactive, a quiz based on freedom fighters was conducted for different
levels by CAIE 7 students. Students of each level participated with much eagerness and involvement. The
event was a collective effort by students and teachers and such activities foster patriotism and a sense
of responsibility in young minds.

No celebration is complete without our Head of School's address,
which was a morale booster to all the students of CPSGS.
May we continue celebrating this day forever!
