Youth Artistry: LOCAL’24 Exhibition Inspires Students

Written by cpsglobalblog

Students from the IBDP Visual Arts and IGCSE Art & Design programs at CPS Global School, Thirumazhisai, attended a contemporary art and design exhibition, LOCAL’24, hosted by Maisha Studio at Lalit Kala Academy in Chennai. Featuring 16 young artists and over 100 artworks, the exhibition significantly inspired and motivated the students.

The theme of LOCAL’24 focused on local experiences, demonstrating how everyday situations can be transformed into art. This exposure offered students fresh perspectives on their surroundings. They had the opportunity to engage with the artists, gaining insights into the inspirations and processes behind the artworks. The fact that the artists were close in age to the students made the experience more relatable and impactful.

Reflections of  Chaw Su, IGYR2

I found the recent art exhibition I attended with other art students to be an unforgettable experience. Seeing the diverse artworks created by different artists made me realize how each one has a unique way of expressing their emotions and passion for art, regardless of age. Each piece was open to various interpretations, each carrying a fascinating meaning. When I left, I had a deeper love for art and a better understanding of it. I will definitely take inspiration from these artworks and create pieces I can be proud of. I am grateful to the school for providing me with this opportunity.
