University Representatives Visit: Bridging the Gap Between High School and Higher Education @ CPS Global School, Anna Nagar

Written by cpsglobalblog

The journey from high school to university is an exciting, yet often daunting, transition. One of the best ways to gain clarity and confidence during this process is through direct interaction with university representatives. Recently, our school had the privilege of hosting representatives from several universities: Georgetown University in Qatar, Indiana University, Kansas State University , University at Buffalo, The Ohio State University and University of South Alabama and the experience was both informative and inspiring.

Representatives from various universities introduced themselves and provided an overview of what their institutions had to offer. Each university brought something unique to the table, whether it was a strong focus on research, a vibrant campus culture, or a commitment to community service. Hearing directly from these representatives gave the students a broader understanding of the diverse options available in higher education. They also highlighted the extracurricular opportunities, campus facilities, and support services available to students. This holistic view of university life was invaluable, as it helped students see how university could be not just a place for learning, but a place to grow and thrive. Students asked a wide range of questions, from inquiries about specific programs and scholarship opportunities. The representatives provided tailored advice, helping students understand how they could align their high school achievements with university admission requirements. They also discussed potential career paths, giving us a better understanding of how a degree from their institution could help us achieve our long-term goals.
