Ten Frame @ CPSGS ANN

Written by cpsglobalblog

A ten frame serves as a straightforward educational tool for teaching Mathematics. It aids children in cultivating number sense and early Numeracy skills, which develop gradually from birth to age five.

Students can use tens frames to build basic number sense skills such as number recognition and number representation. They can also use ten frames to perform beginning addition and subtraction problems, compare numbers, order numbers, and understand number pairs to 5 and 10.

Today, Our EY 3 children arranged pom poms in the tens frame to represent the number given to them. This activity helped them to understand that each full   frame represents one ten and a half frame represents 5 ones. This activity facilitated their learning of place value also.
