“Freedom is our legacy, and Independence is our pride!”

Independence Day is a highly significant date in the calendar of India. Every Indian must make this day as joyous as possible. This day is celebrated to commemorate the freedom of India from 200-year British rule. While we understand the importance of this glorious day, we need to impart this knowledge to the future of our nation.

Independence Day Celebrations at schools have always been an occasion to look forward to, as we learn the values of unity in diversity. By teaching our children about this day, we can instill a sense of pride in their country Additionally, understanding the historical significance of Independence Day will help them better appreciate the sacrifices made by our forefathers to achieve freedom. Finally, observing Independence Day allows us to reflect on the progress made by India as a nation over the past several years.

Our EY children learnt about the freedom struggle and the reason for celebrating this special day. They made their own DIY Indian flag with ice cream sticks. Our future citizens of India sang the National Anthem with their heads held high with great pride. Jai Hind!

As parents, we can help our children understand the significance of this holiday and teach them about India’s rich history. Let’s make sure we enjoy this special day with family and friends!
