On the eventful day to felicitate teachers, CPS GlobalSchool Thirumalisai showered their immense appreciation towards the backbone of the school who are the hardworking teachers through organizing various activities on the Teachers’ Day of this year, 2022. Recognizing the endless efforts spurting from them even during tiring times, the students of IGCSE and IBDP felt it was appropriate to show our gratitude to them.
The teachers were given an entire day off by the studentsof IBDP taking over the younger grades, which let the teachers rest their duties by thedoor for the day and enjoy the day. The students kick-started their program by presenting a fun and engaging assembly where the teachers got to walk through the runway prepared by the students before getting seated. Following this ramp walk ceremony,the teachers got to play games conducted by IB1 and IG2, which brought back the teachers’nostalgic memories of their own school days.The assembly was closed with a board filled with love held by the CIAE 3 students that read, “Happy Teacher’s Day!”
Then, the teachers were given a break during which the IB 1 and 2 students took up theresponsibility to maintain discipline amongst the younger grades, which helped us understandthe responsibility and sheer hard work it takes to handle students despite it looking effortlesson the outside. Then, the teachers were whisked away to have a special lunch hosted by the management to relish and reconnect with eachother in a more casual setting.
As the lunch was wrapping up, the teachers were immediately alerted ‘CODE RED’ through the PR system, urging them to assemble on the secondfloor; which greeted them with a lovely sign that enthusiastically read “scavenger hunt”.The teachers were split into seven teams, where they had to go to the six games hosted in various rooms on the second floor by IB 1and the winners got the clue first while the losing team got to perform an additional fun activity to get their clue.The teachers got to bond over and have friendly competition with their peers, which ultimately resulted in them to assemble at the multipurpose hall, where they cut a cake to conclude the day with a sweet note.
