Every book is a treasure hunt: whether we find ourselves lost in a fantastical world of fiction or uncovering the truths of non-fiction, the journey enriches our minds and sparks our imaginations.
In a fun and engaging classroom activity, our CIE 2 students explored the world of books by identifying and differentiating between fiction and non-fiction genres. Split into small groups, each team received a variety of books to classify. The students worked collaboratively to determine whether each book was fiction or nonfiction, noting key features and discussing their observations. This hands-on activity not only introduced the young learners to different genres but also encouraged teamwork, critical thinking, and effective communication. Sharing their findings with the class made the activity both educational and fun, bringing the magic of books to life!
