Scrambled Sentences @ CPS GS, ANN

Written by cpsglobalblog

There are so many fulfilling perks to teaching Kids at early years, but near the top of the list is teaching students how to read.  I think one of the best parts of literacy instruction is seeing the excitement in their eyes when they start reading sentences!  Once children are ready to take that step, it’s just a matter of keeping up that momentum and excitement with additional practice.

At EY3B we did a fun activity to encourage children to form sentences where kids were given jumbled sentences as puzzle cards and in building blocks. It was an exciting activity where children unscrambled them to form meaningful sentences. There was learning about the usage of punctuation and sight words too.

It was all fun, challenging, brain stimulating and a quick-thinking activity and the best part was no one kept track of time!
