The goal behind an “All about me” thematic activity is to help children learn about themselves and their peers. The theme helps children to realize that every person is unique and special.
They also learn that every child’s thoughts and ideas are important and no one person is more or less important than another!
With this objective, children took turns in seeing themselves in a mirror and shared something special about themselves such as their favorite color or food, and the color of their hair and eyes. Children explored a lot about the similarities they shared with each other which eventually led to their understanding that everyone is special in their own way. The activity concluded with a song “I am special”.
