World Animal Day, also known as World Animal Welfare Day, is a global initiative celebrated annually on October 4th. This day serves as an International Day of Action, advocating for the rights and welfare of animals. This event unites animal lovers worldwide, raising awareness and fostering a sense of responsibility towards the well-being of animals.
The theme for World Animal Day this year 2023, is “Great or Small, Love Them All,” With this theme, the goal is to bring to light the importance of all beings, great and small, and allow the opportunity for even the most overlooked animals to be appreciated for what and who they are.
Our EY children learnt that it’s their responsibility to take care of all the animals big or small. Children went on a rally inside the school campus holding placards and shouting slogans to stop animal cruelty and work towards the five welfare needs of animals. It was heart-warming to look at our future generation realizing that animals cannot speak for themselves and they need our love and concern in this ever-advancing digital world.
