EY Sports day ’23 @ CPSGS, ANN

Written by cpsglobalblog

Sports play an important part in character building. In recognition of the need to inculcate the sporting spirit in children, the school organized ‘Little Tykes Fest’. This provided an ideal opportunity for the children to demonstrate their prowess in various sporting disciplines.  Ms Kamana Jain the National Archer was the chief guest of the day. She declared the sports meet open and delivered a motivating speech to the gathering.

Sports day for us is not about competition. It is about having fun, being physically active and  giving our little tykes an opportunity to display their self-confidence, patience and sportsmanship. The students donned colour-coded sports attire representing the elements namely Earth, Air, Water, and Fire which is the theme of the day.The Sporting extravaganza commenced with the March Past and torch run by the students of early years, followed by a spectacular drill that the students put up for the entertainment of the parents. Kids displayed a few moves of yoga, Zumba, aerobics and acrobatics with a lot of enthusiasm and energy. The parents enthusiastically cheered as the students took to the track to compete with full verge and vigor. It was a delight to see the excitement with which children challenged themselves to compete in a variety of races like 25 mts dash, object collecting, balance the bean bag walk in addition to the track events .Last but not least, games for parents were conducted and their enthusiastic, impressive participation  made it more exciting for all of us.  The Sports Day helped children explore their hidden sports interests, build confidence and to inculcate a desire to learn new skills by watching their peers. A pleasing smile and contentment on the faces of kids, parents and our Early years team spoke volumes about the success of the event.

Afterall ,Sports  for us  is not a hobby But a lifestyle.
