Back to school advertisement studded local dailies; play school themed retail shops selling kid’s accessories; the ceremonial queues to bag the books and stationeries and much more encompasses the excited atmosphere that marks the onset of a new academic year. With the pandemic going strong for two straight years in the past, struck the regularity of the lives by getting the frenzy and fun filled atmosphere to miss from the normal routine. But the year 2022 marked the resumption of onsite classes for the senior grades and this successful recommencement has resulted in the strong comeback of school reopening season after a break of two years. The CPS Global School, Thirumazhisai reopened the school for the Early Learning Programme (ELP) students on the 20th of June for the academic year 2022-2023. The happy smiles, the subtle sobs and the never ending excitement marked the first day, with the ELP facilitators taking extra efforts to welcome the students with the decorated classroom, the learners thoroughly enjoyed to get their hands wet for the array of ice breaking events carefully planned out for the learners to acquaint themselves with the peers. Overall, the reopening day for the ELP students marked the genesis of the new beginning as such times could be barely imagined in the past two years with our own ELP kids. It was a day to witness the famous quote that states, “After the storm comes the rainbow.”
