What better way to begin the month of December, than with a story that celebrates the love of a family, courage to follow your heart and the healing power of music? The students of CPS Global School, Thirumazhisai, enchanted audiences with their theatrical production of The Sound of Music at the prestigious Museum Theatre, one of Chennai’s most iconic venues, to this classic musical brought together talented performers from Grades 3 to 8, who delivered a splendid and heart-warming performance after a month of rigorous practice. The entire production, “The Theatrical Tempest,” commemorates 15 remarkable years of the CPS Group of Institutions.
The school choir played a pivotal role in breathing life into the timeless songs, enhancing the show’s charm. The grandeur of the sets and backdrops further elevated the production, transporting the audience to the Austrian hills. Watching the Von Trapp family come alive through the students’ performances was a mesmerizing experience that captured hearts and left the audience spellbound.
Adding a touch of excitement, a lucky dip for parents offered surprise prizes to the fortunate winners. The evening was a true celebration of creativity, dedication, and talent, reflecting the school’s motto: “The world is your stage.”
