When 20th century kids met the 21 st century kids – Children’s Day celebration @ CPS Global School,

So what if 14 th November Children’s Day 2022 celebration was postponed due to rains and term end
exams?! There is no way to dampen the spirit of the CPS Global family. The entire school
reverberated with high spirited anticipation for the show to start on 16 th November. The double
treat was Halloween celebrations being clubbed and the school student community was, thus,
dressed up in creative, spooky Halloween attires. The school was sprawling with fairies, superheroes,
zombies, pirates, demons and ghosts!!!!
The special program, conceived and staged by teachers, started with the traditional invocation of the
Almighty’s blessing through a song followed by significance of the day and associated celebrations.
The very apt Thought for the Day – ‘keep the child alive in all’… seemed applicable more for the
teachers which was evident in the skit presented to show the fun and frolic of the past four decades.
The skit showed how the 70s to 90s and the early 2000s children also enjoyed life as thoroughly as
the Gen X and Z through the vibrant performance of the teachers! The multilingual elocution by
Tamil and Hindi faculties elucidated the joys of childhood, the future being in their own hands and
how each great personality have once been students. The poems also assured of the constant
presence of teachers whenever they need a helping hand.
The power packed dance and song performance by the teachers electrified the venue with all
students and teachers enjoying themselves to the core. The finale was the inspiring words of
motivation by Mrs. Jayu Ganesh, Head of School and then the introduction of the 60s to 90s kids
(teachers) to the 2000s kids (students and 1 teacher)!!! All teachers echoed the belief that being
around children heals the heart! The students were further surprised by the goody bag and
personalized cards made by the teachers to make their day special!
It as indeed a day when the entire CPS Global School family showed that age was just a number-it is
all about the feeling!
