Chocolate is happiness that you can eat! Some of our best memories are sealed with chocolate, be it a
new beginning, a birthday, a promotion, clearing an exam and so on. International Chocolate day is
observed on July 7 th every year to celebrate one of mankind’s best culinary inventions. CPS Global
Thirumazhisai, celebrated the day through various fun activities. CAIE6, 7 and 8 were involved in
making Chocolate Bouquets. The students contributed a variety of chocolates for this ‘delicious’
project which was indeed drool worthy! The bouquets were alluring- a perfect mix of exotic, imported
and homemade chocolates. The students shared their goodies with the tiny tots from primary. A fun
quiz was conducted by the teachers that covered interesting facts on chocolate. The students were
taught how to interpret the labels in chocolate and understand the ingredients and the preservatives
added in them, so that they can make informed choices about what they consume. The students were
also involved in a friendly debate about the health benefits of chocolates. The students put forth
interesting points like how antioxidants in chocolate are good for the blood pressure and consumption
of dark chocolate improves brain function. Days like these make school all the more fun where our
students learn in the ‘sweetest’ way possible! Happy Chocolate Day!
