On June 12th, 2024, CPS Global School, Thirumazhisai, joyfully reopened its doors to welcome students for a promising new academic year. The day began with a vibrant and energetic assembly, brimming with enthusiasm and hope for the future. Ms. Subathra, the host for the assembly, warmly welcomed all students, setting a positive tone for the day.
The assembly commenced with a peaceful prayer led by Ms. Pavani, encouraging a moment of reflection among the students. Ms. Tamilselvi followed with an inspiring thought on the power of taking a chance to make a better choice for a fruitful change. Ms. Josena highlighted the significance of the day, emphasizing its observance as the World Day against Child Labour. In keeping with the reflective spirit, Ms. Padma shared a profound verse on utterance of pleasant word from the Thirukkural, and Ms. Suganya uplifted everyone’s spirits with a stirring Tamil poem.
To further enhance the day, teachers dedicated a special song to the enthusiastic learners. Our esteemed Head of School, Ms. Sreedevi, then addressed the gathering, offering words of encouragement on voice, choice and ownership followed by introducing the new faculty members and class advisors. The assembly concluded with a heartfelt rendition of the National Anthem.
Following the assembly, class advisors led engaging ice-breaking sessions with the students, fostering camaraderie and easing the transition into the new academic year. A special photo booth was set up for class photos, capturing the joyful moments as each class posed together, marking the beginning of their journey.
The first day of school was a resounding success, characterized by hope, joy, positivity, and a strong commitment to learning. It set the stage for a fulfilling and enriching year ahead.
