MUKIMONO: The art of vegetable carving at CPS Global School.

“Creating art is not what one sees, but what one can make others see”. -Edgar Degas.

Today, our young sculptors of CPS GS, participated in a vegetable carving activity. Our budding creative minds manifested exquisite carving of simple fruits and vegetables from home.

Their portrayal of creativity and presentation of their work is the token of their victory in this competition. The participants were fastidious. They etched patterns with meticulously chosen materials onto fruits and vegetables.

The Vegetable carving Inter- house competition had students participating from CAIE 3 to IB. Children across the grades showed great enthusiasm throughout the day.

Art has a major role in education in helping children become like themselves instead of more like everyone else. The contest was judged by our esteemed judges. They inspected the competition and were aw-struck by the children’s output.

Children’s intricate fruit and vegetable carving elaborated “plating of ideas” that coup d’oeil on “save the environment, covid -19 precautions, symbolizing war and peace, animal conservation”, and much more.

The pulchritudinous carving of food with homely materials not only made memories and souvenirs but also improved a few culinary skills.
