The excitement in the air was palpable as students gathered for the much-anticipated Interhouse Math Quiz, aptly named “Eureka!” The event, a staple in our school’s calendar, brought together bright minds from all houses to compete in a thrilling test of mathematical prowess.
“Eureka!” was divided into multiple rounds, each designed to test different aspects of mathematical understanding featuring a series of rapid-fire questions which tested the participants’ quick thinking and basic math skills, setting the tone for the rest of the competition. Problem-solving round, where teams were presented with more complex mathematical problems requiring deeper analytical skills. In the visual round, participants were presented with diagrams, graphs, and patterns that they had to analyse and interpret. It highlighted the importance of critical thinking, teamwork, and perseverance. The students demonstrated remarkable resilience, especially when faced with difficult questions, showing that math is not just about getting the right answer but about the process of exploration and discovery. The true success of the event was evident in the enthusiasm and engagement of all participant.
