Learning to cut using scissors develops a child’s fine motor skills and bilateral coordination. It strengthens their tiny hands and fingers; and increases their hand-eye coordination.

Making and creating, cutting and gluing are all great fun and part of every child’s creative journey – it is important to encourage them to handle scissors with confidence rather than keeping them away from it.

This week at EY3, our tiny tots learnt how to hold the scissors properly and cut on a line and switch directions which are exciting visual motor activities for them.
