Math is a comprehensive subject that comprises numerous topics and one of them is shapes. As students explore shapes, they are naturally introduced to the shape names and will start to have a basic understanding of the shape attributes. Children have dynamic learning capabilities that are enhanced by their observation skills. Children explored the basic shapes in their classroom by looking at the different objects around them. Learning basic shapes helped them to learn how to organize visual information, signs and symbols, mathematical concepts, categorization and comparison, problem solving and symmetry. They enjoyed the shapes puzzle and matching activity.
