Rustic Russels introduction and Day 1 @ CPS GS, ANN

Written by cpsglobalblog
The students of the lower secondary programme celebrates Rustic Rustles a week long celebration of the legacy and impact of colonialism on Native communities, the cultures, contribution and resilience of the Native people across the globe. This event was planned to appreciate the learning about indigenous culture in a way to foster and encourage cultural pride.
Dazzling silver ornaments and brass neckpieces and bright red and white  attires, the natives of the Miji tribe transformed the CPS Global School campus into the Bichom valley, a cozy beautiful place in the Arunachal region. The lower secondary students represented the Sajolang and Damai, by taking us through a cultural and ritual journey. The students bound the audience with their enchanting tribal music show with a spectacular display of beats using drums, pots and other percussion instruments. From food to festivals the display took us to the roots of their cultural practices, not to leave behind the striking dance show!
