It provides us all with a day to really reflect on the importance of kindness – not just to each other but to ourselves as well. It also gives us time to spread the message that a little bit of kindness can go a long way.
As a part of kindness week our EY3 made a heart origami, EY2 made a hand print card and EY1 made a thank u card. They gave it to their loved ones at school (teachers and attenders) and their loved ones at home (parents and grandparents) to show their love for them. This is just a small step to create compassionate, conscientious kids who grow up with the character and confidence to change our communities for good.
And remember, as Aesop said, ‘No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.’
