Play with puppets @ CPSGS ANN

Written by cpsglobalblog

Playing with puppets has several developmental advantages that should be encouraged and celebrated.  Children are more likely to listen to or speak to a peer than they are to listen to or chat to a stranger, and the same is true for puppets. With an objective to promote listening skills in our EY children, a play with puppet activity was conducted along with a read aloud of “The Gingerbread Man” story. Children created a variety of puppets using paper cups, plates, straws, and wooden spoons and engaged in a pretend play depicting the acts of The Gingerbread Man” using the puppets. The puppets served as a wonderful visual aid for children, retaining their attention and encouraging them to participate in class.
