NAVRATHRI CELEBRATIONS

Written by cpsglobalblog

There is boundless beauty in our culture and traditions. CPS Global School has always
embraced and celebrated diverse traditions, and this festive season was no exception. To
honor Navratri and Dussehra, our school came alive with vibrant colours and cultural spirit.
In Tamil Nadu, Navratri is celebrated with the tradition of Golu, a decorative display of dolls.
Students contributed to a beautiful five-step Golu, showcasing intricate dolls symbolizing
deities, animals, and historical figures. Each day, pooja were performed, followed by the
distribution of prasadam.
The highlight of the celebration was the IG1 students’ special assembly for Dussehra. With
creativity and flair, they narrated the significance of Dussehra through captivating acting and
engaging visuals, making the event both educational and entertaining.
Dandiya is an integral part of Dussehra. Our students dressed in their traditional, colourful
trousseaus, enthusiastically danced to upbeat Dandiya tunes. The joyous atmosphere of
music, dance, and tradition brought students and teachers together. It was a memorable
celebration, combining learning and festivity, with students taking pride in their cultural
heritage.
