Kneading Fun: A Floury Adventure for Fine Motor Development @ CPS Global School, Anna Nagar

Written by cpsglobalblog

A magical movement happened in EY2 this week when our children and their hands discovered the texture of flour-soft powdery. This activity doesn’t require special equipment or complicated setup. Just some flour, water, salt and a sprinkle of creativity. Writing, buttoning shirts, and tying shoelaces are just a few of the daily chores that require the development of fine motor skills, which are developed by pressing down, folding over, and rolling the dough between their palms.  This will broaden their imagination, but it will also engage multiple senses—sight, touch, and smell, further enriching their learning experience. So next time if you’re looking for a hands-on activity that’s both fun and beneficial, don’t hesitate to pull out the flour.
