Our Ey kids were taught this concept with the alligator story. Imagine the symbols < or > as the open mouths of hungry alligator. The alligator always wants to eat the bigger number. When we see 5> 3 it means the alligator gobbles up the 5 because its bigger. Kids love this visual and can relate to it easily. To make it even more fun,an activity was conducted.
Number flash cards were provided to the children with two different numbers wherein the students have to identify the greater number and place the appropriate symbol towards it.
