“Heat Conduction within a Solid or between Solid Materials in Direct Contact” @ CPS Global School, Anna Nagar

Written by cpsglobalblog

Heat conduction is the process through which thermal energy is transferred within a solid material or between solid materials in direct contact. This mode of heat transfer is driven by temperature gradients and involves the movement of energy from regions of higher temperature to regions of lower temperature. Students of CIE 8 are studying the flow of heat through conductors by heating a metal rod. Through this investigation they learn what are the various dependent variables needed for a fair investigation. They are thus able to conclude from the demonstration that Conduction of heat is a process through which thermal energy is transferred through solid materials.
