“Happiness is a by-product of an effort to make someone else happy.
Happiness is a conscious choice, not an automatic response,
Happiness is a function of accepting what is,
Happiness is only real when spread across,
Happiness adds and multiplies, as we divide it with others”.
Taking Happiness as our first and foremost preference, CPS Global School celebrated Xlencia 2022 on the 30th of September.
Xlencia’22 is all about bringing out the talents- music, drama, dance, awards and much more. The event started with the lighting of the lamp, symbolizing the inexorable truth that only light can drive away darkness and prevail happiness in life. The prayer song tranquillized the eternal positivity in the atmosphere.
This year’s Annual event was graced by DR. A C Shanmugam, B.A., B.L., FRCPS, Ex M.M.P., Ex. MLA., Founder-chancellor of DR.MGR Educational and Research Institution, Chennai; Chairman of Raja Rajeshwari Medical College, Bangalore: and DR. M. Venkatachalam, IFS Head of Branch Secretariat, MEA Chennai, Ex. Head of Chancery, Second Secretary/ First Secretary in Embassy of India, Tokyo (Japan), EX. HEAD of Chancery/ First Secretary in Embassy of India in Prague. It was such a pleasure having them as the dignitaries. A very inspirational speech was delivered by our guests, which made the audience listen in rapt attention.
The annual day is unadorned without the annual report. The génial succès of CPS GS of the year was shared by the Head of School, the veteran sculptor, Ms Rama Mylavarapu. Awards and accolades are pivotal in a student’s life. Like correcting a student’s fault, recognizing a student’s success is also necessary. It will lead to great motivation and they step up in life with flying colours. Acknowledging the tough grind and recognizing the flair, the students were honoured for their last academic year’s achievements. Xlencia also witnessed the excellent teachers being recognized, the ones who have helped the kids tenaciously to stand proudly wherever they are.
Xlencia’22 is about making “Happiness Happen”, on that ecstatic note, the “Cultural Xtravaganza”, was cheerfully reified by our budding flowers of CPS GS.
The Groove Fiesta- an instrumental medley, summoned “Bonheur” onto the atmosphere.
The “Happiness Quest” by our much-adorned EY students, made the ecstatic flight to happiness into a wholly of allay.
GEN Z Cinderella certainly broke all the entrenched stereotypes and showed that Every Princess doesn’t need a Prince to find happiness. Eternal Happiness lies in hard work, compassion and self-improvement.
“Go Confidently in the direction of your dream. Live the life you have imagined and generate your own happiness”.
Students paid their tribute to our “Lost Legends”. Crescendo- an Ode to our Music Legends -Aretha Franklin, Latha Mangeshkar, Krishnakumar Kunnath, S.P. Bala Subramaniam, Laskoiy Mai and Yuri Shatunov.
“Twirlz and Whirlz”- moving to the beat of the amazing carnival of diverse places. From Switzerland to Egypt and Italy; and Notting Hill to Brazil. With stunning masquerades and rhythmic drum beat, the carnival acquaints the traditional celebrations of goodness, happiness and amusement among the crowd.
A happy family is but an earlier heaven. Family is where Life begins, Happiness prevails and love never ends.
L’amour de la Famille, a revised script by our young wordsmiths shares the inevitable fact that time we spend with family is the true form of happiness.
The show just elevated the soiree into the seventh heaven, when students shared the stage with the teachers to perform. Cheer, joy and vivid glee were inexorable amongst the crowd.
Overall, the annual event was filled with a sense of achievement, laughter and some fun. The eve then followed with the vote of thanks and the National Anthem.
The event was then signed out with the goal accomplished. “Happiness just doesn’t happen; we make it happen”.
