Recitation is one of the most important and effective modes of learning a language and appreciating a piece of literature.
Today, our school hosted a thrilling Poem Recitation competition, where students showcased their public speaking skills and confidence. Open Mic stands for Poetry, Eloquence, and Music, and the competition lived up to its promise of showcasing students’ talents in these areas.
The event saw students from CIE 3, 4 and 5 recite poems and perform with enthusiasm and passion. The participants’ hard work and dedication were evident in their performances, which left the audience and judges in awe.
The competition aimed to encourage students to develop their communication skills, build confidence, and appreciate the beauty of language and literature. It was heartening to see students step out of their comfort zones and take the floor by storm.
The real victory, however, lies in the courage and talent displayed by all.
