Hope, Humility, Hungama- that was the essence of Zenith 2023- Reach for the Stars, the Awards and Annual Day program of CPS Global School, Thirumazhisai. The program rolled out with the invocation song by the choir, Melodic Angels followed by the welcome address and felicitation of the Chief Guest, Prof. S K Kanungo, Eminent Scientist and Honorary Distinguished Professor at the ISRO headquarters, Bangaluru by the dignitaries of the CPS Schools Group Management. The main highlight of the business section was the adulation of the academic icons of the entire school, be it the school and subject toppers in IBDP, IGCSE or Cambridge Lower Secondary Checkpoint Examinations or the internal assessments. Not only academic expertise was extolled but also the talents and skills were celebrated. Teachers and non-teaching staff were equally acknowledged for their dedication, perseverance and commitment to the pursuit of learning.
The Chief Guest, Prof Kanungo who was actively involved in the Chandrayaan I and II along with the Mars Orbital Mission, in his address, related his experiences at ISRO and drew an analogy between the ISRO space missions with the hope and never give up attitude of the CPS Global School fraternity. He also congratulated the jubilant parents who were basking in the glory of their wards’ achievements.
The cultural segment initiated with the invocation dance invoking the grace and blessing of Lord Ganesha followed by the euphoric dance performances by the ELP stars. A full-fledged theatre, The Tapestry of Hope, interweaving stories from around the world on how hope can change the face of the world showcased some of the 17 UNSDGs being incorporated into the storyline like innovation, quality education, zero hunger and affordable and clean energy.
Appreciation poured in from our parents according to whom Zenith 2023 was “such a flawless and fantastic show. Kudos to the entire team of teachers and students.” Truly, hope and diligence can only ensure a better future. Hail to Zenith 2023- Reach for the Stars!
