On August 15, 2023, CPS Global School, Thirumazhisai, along with CPS Global School, Anna Nagar, witnessed a jubilant celebration of the “Investiture ceremony” that coincided with the historically significant 77th Independence Day of our Country. The day began with the rendering of the patriotic song, “Vande Mataram,” by our mellifluous teacher choir, followed by the hoisting of the National Flag by Shri. Balaji Dagupati, the Correspondent of the CPS Schools Group. The exuberant Student council members for 2023-24, in reverence, along with the harmonious school band in unison, welcomed the esteemed Chief Guest, Major Madhan Kumar, and the other distinguished dignitaries. The March was a spectacular showcase of their unwavering focus, great confidence, pride, and honour.
The Investiture ceremony began on an auspicious note with the lighting of the lamp by our dignitaries on the dais, followed by the prayer song by the enthralling CPS Global School choir. Ms. Geetha Anbuselvam from CPS Global School, Anna Nagar, welcomed the gathering and introduced the chief guest for the day to the beaming spectators. It was also pivotal for the audience to hear Nihal of CPS Global School, Anna Nagar highlight the significance of the day. The much-eagerly awaited moment of mounting the School and House flags was the notable part of the ceremony. The Head Boys and Head Girls from both campuses shared the responsibility of carrying the school flag forward and mounting it, flaunting in all its glory. It was time for the house flags to shine. The house prefects of all four houses—Alphard, Canopus, Diadem, and Plasma—handed over their flags, marching to their respective house mentors, thereby mounting the flags.
Ms. Jayu Ganesh, Head of School, CPS Global School, TMZ, presented the investiture note and emphasized the student council on the need for proactive participation, reminding them to be empathetic towards each and every pupil. The exciting moment of pride was shared when every student council member was conferred with the prestigious badge, sash, and the appointment letter from the dignitaries. To mark this beginning, the chief guest administered the oath to the council members. After being inducted, the junior head boys, junior head girls, and the head boys and head girls pledged their loyalty in their response speeches. Our chief guest, Major Madhan Kumar, stressed the necessity of having holistic healthy well-being, a major driving force for success, and also briefed on the management of leadership skills.
Ms. Sridevi, Deputy Head of School, CPS Global School, TMZ, placed on record her gratitude, thanking the audience and the team for making the event a grand success. The event was drawn to a close with the National Anthem.
