On 25th October 2024, the students of the Eco Club of CPS Global School, Thirumazhisai gathered together for an exciting session of creativity and learning. We had Mrs. Lakshmi Krishna Kumar as the resource person for sharing her expertise and experience in the field of soap making. She is an entrepreneur and plays a key role in the cosmetic industry. The event aimed to introduce students to handmade soap making with natural ingredients using the melt and pour technique. Two samples were made using red wine and activated charcoal.
The session was a huge success, with members gaining new skills as well as the creative possibilities during soap making. Emphasis was also given on the essential safety precautions and effective packaging methods. The life skills imparted to the students include self-sufficiency and independence, creativity and self-expression, time management and organization as well as entrepreneurial skills. The educational values included basic principles of Chemistry, Botany, herbalism, Business and marketing skills.
