CPS Global School, Thirumazhisai enjoyed a “double dhamaka” as CIE 8 students hosted a lively assembly celebrating both Deepavali and Halloween. Dressed in their traditional best, all students added to the festive atmosphere as the event began with a prayer, news highlights, and an inspiring thought for the day. Students then shared insights into the cultural significance of both holidays, setting the stage for a vibrant celebration.
The Deepavali segment featured a high-energy dance, filling the space with festive cheer. This was followed by a thrilling Halloween performance, with “zombies” dancing to eerie tunes that sent shivers down the audience’s spines.
The fun continued with games that kept everyone entertained. From “Hit the Ghost,” where Nerf guns aimed to knock down paper cup ghosts, to “Balance the Ball” and “Guess the Halloween Movie,” the audience had a blast participating. The Head of School wrapped up the event with warm wishes, encouraging everyone to enjoy a safe and green Deepavali. She also felicitated IB2 and IG2 students who received the bronze awards in IAYP. V G Lakshan of CIE 5 was recognized for his exemplary achievements in skating. Overall, it was a memorable assembly, blending traditions in a uniquely festive way.
