CPS Global School @ its ‘ZENITH’

CPS Global School, Thirumazhisai celebrated Annual Day ‘ZENITH 2022’ in all its glory, most-awaited day for the students, teachers and parents when which the tiny hearts rule the stage to blissfully mesmerise and melt the souls of the cheerfully delighted spectators, esp, after two long years. After the traditional lighting of the ceremonial lamp, followed by the invocation song by the ethereal voice of the ELP choir ‘Little Blithe Spirits’, the Chief Guest, Mr. Ananda Thirtha T J, Head- Operations, Ashok Leyland Imports, was welcomed and felicitated by Mr. Balaji Dagupati, Correspondent of CPS Schools Group with a memento, shawl and a sapling.

The esteemed assemblage was then addressed by the Head of the School, Mrs Jayu Ganesh, with her ever-inspiring words, along with a unique AV Annual Report, curated by IBDP Yr 2 students, of CPS Global School during the pandemic and beyond. On this special occasion, the students who excelled in their academics and other areas of expertise were appreciated. Harpita Pandian and Kiara Daniel were recognised as IGCSE and IBDP 2022 Examination the school toppers; Youth Icon Award was shared by the Pandian Visionaries, Harpith and Harpita of IBDP Year 1 for their enterprising achievements. The students of IBDP Year 2 were honoured with IAYP Silver and Bronze Pins together with certificates for their perseverance in completing the assignments amid all the impediments of the pandemic COVID-19, esp the Silver Pin Awardees. Aadila Zakir Hussain was applauded for her record SAT scores, Daniel Margoschis J with the Worthy Wellness Award for being the highest crowd funder. The QLabs Venture entrepreneurial finalist team was also honoured along with various in school titles for excellence in non-academic pursuits like theatre, dance, music, research, etc.

 

The Head of School, Mrs, Jayu Ganesh was felicitated by Mr. Balaji Dagupati, Correspondent, as the life force of the school for more than five years as well as her incredible contribution in leading the IBDP 10-year evaluation and the IGCSE Assessment Evaluation. Teachers were recognised by the illuminati of the CPS Schools Group Management, Mr. Suman Babu Yerlagadda, Mrs, Aishwariya Devarajan along with Mr. Balaji Dagupati, for producing top grades in their respective subjects in IGCSE and IBDP Exams, as well as supporting to ensure a smooth running of school. IBDP evaluation entailed a lot of hard work over 18 months and all members involved were recognised with certificates. Teachers completing 5 and 10 years of service were also acknowledged.

The Chief Guest, Mr. Ananda Tirtha then addressed the gathering reiterating the importance of always striving hard in the face of setbacks and how family play an important role as a support system in one’s life which resonated with the audience comprising of students and their parents. He was all praise for the teachers who managed to impart quality education amidst the pandemic ending his speech saying “celebrate all your achievements as they come along”.

The cultural extravaganza conquered the stage soon after the formal function initiating with a mind-blowing performance by Bandwidth, IBDP Year 2 student band, followed by a peppy dance by the ELP dazzling Dazzlers. The play, ‘The Power of Ten’ was a stupendous coalescence of theatre, music and dances from all around the world, the highlight being the Chinese Dragon conquering the aisles and drawing applause and admiration from the audience. This was very significant for its grave theme which emphasized on the gratuitous discrimination, that exists in the world, based on colour, age, nationality, profession and as such. ‘The Power of Ten’ was appreciated for its significance, presenting the ten learner attributes of International Curricula that aims to bring forward responsible yet successful individuals. Lastly but appreciably, the event was topped by the cheerful yet soulful Christmas carol which stimulated the aura of the forthcoming Christmas and the show stopper of the event was the Santa who enthralled the crowd spreading Christmas cheers. With the vote of gratitude, the programme came to a conclusion with National Anthem.

In the words of some parents, it was, indeed, a celebration of victory and togetherness!!!! A resplendent evening to cherish for a long time to come- Zenith 2022-Reach for the Stars!
