“Yoga is about awakening. It is about creating a life that brings more beauty and more love in the world”
In today’s fast-paced and demanding world, students face various challenges that can impact their overall well-being and academic performance. Yoga is not just about striking a pose; it’s about embracing a lifestyle that nurtures the mind, body, and spirit.
As we commemorate International Day of Yoga, we at CPS School embraced this year’s theme, “Yoga for Self and Society,” with enthusiasm and joy. This special day is an opportunity for us to understand how yoga can benefit our own well-being and also create a positive impact on our community. The spirit of yoga was observed by upper primary students at CPS Global School Anna Nagar. The session started off with a few warm up exercises . After a clear demonstration by PE instructors, our upper primary students displayed more complicated asanas like Surya Namaskar, Tadasana, Virabhadrasana, Trikonasana , paschimottanasana , Vrikshasana ,Bhujangasana and the like. It was really breathtaking to witness our children observing and performing breathing techniques, yoga poses, and mindfulness!
The day was filled with joy, creativity, and a sense of unity. Let’s continue to embrace the peace and positivity of yoga in our lives and share it with those around us.
