At the early hours of 30 August, Chennai’s vibrant heritage was on full display as our lower secondary students took off to the Annanagar Tower Park to connect with the residents of Anna Nagar and to share their love for the city of Madras as part of the Madras week celebration.
The students performed a street play to depict the history and culture of Madras, Slogans, songs and dances just added more flavour in depicting the beauty of various important landmarks and culture of the city.
While the students’ claps and loud slogans drew the attention of the early morning enthusiasts in the park. The passers-by not just stopped to watch the show but extended their appreciation to the young performers. Enthusiastic parents, energetic students, vibrant teachers and the wonderful Chennai residents in the tower park truly reminisced their love for the city and this early morning gathering was an event truly close to everyone’s heart.
