Students of CAIE 7 exhibited their understanding on structure of atom using a model of atomic structure of an element of their choice, many of the students had made a 3D-model. The students had an excellent understanding on the structure of atom where the size of the electrons was much smaller than the protons and neutrons which were properly placed in the appropriate locations The learners were able to construct atomic models and present their work. Learners solve two atomic mysteries through which they discover the components of molecules and atoms. They are then led through an activity in which they construct atomic and molecular models based on it. The excitement level was unbelievable. Wonderful experience for all of us!
