Angels in Disguise: Celebrating Modern Community Helpers @ CPSGS ANN

Written by cpsglobalblog

In a rapidly evolving world, the face of community helpers has undergone a remarkable transformation. Gone are the days when traditional vocations like firefighters, nurses, and police officers were the sole custodians of public service. Today, a new breed of heroes has emerged, and they’re donning a different kind of uniform – that of delivery personnel, gig workers, and tech-savvy problem solvers.

To celebrate and acknowledge these modern-day community helpers, we organized an innovative and engaging event titled “Angels in Disguise.”

The aim of the event was to break the mold and redefine our perception of community helpers. Our students, the torchbearers of change, embarked on a thrilling journey to explore the world of modern community helpers who operate behind the scenes, often unnoticed. The event was a testament to the idea that heroes come in many forms, and their acts of service are just as significant, if not more so, in today’s digitally driven society.

“Angels in Disguise” was not just a celebration but an opportunity to delve into the shoes of these modern heroes. Our students, donning costumes that mimicked the familiar attire of delivery personnel, immersed themselves in the world of Swiggy, Zomato, Dunzo, and more. Through role-playing, they experienced first-hand the challenges and joys of being on the frontline of convenience.

The activity wasn’t just about understanding the mechanics of modern community helpers; it was about cultivating empathy and gratitude. Our students learned that behind every delivery notification is a real person dedicated to serving others. They realized that a simple “thank you” or a smile of appreciation can brighten someone’s day.

As we wrapped up “Angels in Disguise,” there was a newfound appreciation among our students for the modern community helpers who quietly go about their jobs, ensuring that our lives run smoothly. These superheroes may not wear capes, but they have certainly earned their place in our hearts.

This event served as a reminder that heroes come in all forms, and acts of service, no matter how small, have a significant impact. It encouraged our students to be more mindful and appreciative of the countless individuals who work tirelessly behind the scenes to make our lives more convenient.
