Life in a lily pad – ELP 2 @ CPSGS ANN

Written by cpsglobalblog

Life cycles are an area of high student interest for several reasons. Children are naturally curious about the world around them and are especially drawn to discrepant events, such as metamorphosis

It is amazing how using pictures or reading books about the life cycle gives children a way to connect real life with what they are learning about. We always relish in the moments when children become little teachers themselves. It is the curiosity which drives them to ponder, question and reflect. If just pictures from a book would intrigue and have such an influence then could you imagine when things unfold right in front of their eyes?

A hands-on approach will often generate excitement and enhanced learning creating a scope for acquiring new knowledge for some or broadening existing knowledge for children who have had prior exposure.

Can  you guess where the metamorphosis actually happened?
