1,2, 3…shuffle the blocks @ CPS GS, ANN

Written by cpsglobalblog

Blocks help children learn to take turns and share materials, develop new friendships, become self-reliant, increase attention span, cooperate with others, and develop self-esteem.

A survey says block play speeds up in learning early maths and number concepts. It also helps in problem solving and language development respectively.

Any time is block time for the children of class EY2.  To help them recall the order of numbers, an interesting game with these blocks has been designed, organised and played.

Our learners paid required attention to the rules of the game and were seen following the basic rule of closing the eyes when one child shuffled a numbered block. Enthusiasm, excitement and fun were experienced by them when the other child would detect the wrong arrangement and rearrange it in an orderly way! A sense of accomplishment is the vital take away for them.
