Zero Hunger @ CPS GS, ANN

The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others” – Mahatma Gandhi

Zero Hunger aims to focus attention on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG). The United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals are set forth to create a peaceful and prosperous planet for the people, now and into the future.  #2: Zero Hunger– “End hunger, achieve food security and improve nutrition and promote sustainable agriculture.”

On October 26th, grade 1 and 2 students took part in “Zero Hunger”. The CPS Brigade took the challenge of feeding every hungry stomach. They promoted #zerohunger drive and took the pledge of not wasting any food on their plate now onwards.

Through our efforts to collect food, we aimed to help many local community groups and families who struggle to make ends meet. Moreover, the festival of lights being lit up in every nook and corner of the city, it became the right time to spread the joy of giving. All 1 and 2 students participated in this service as an action event. Students made their food donations according to a guide that was provided and distributed food packets, refreshments and non-perishable food items.

A big thank you to everyone who participated in “ Zero Hunger”; we certainly are better off thanks to your efforts.
